Public Sessions Calendar
Most PhotoRobot Academy training happens inside customer engagements — a studio buys equipment, an instructor flies in, the team gets trained together. Public sessions are different. They’re open-enrollment events at the PhotoRobot training studio in Klecany. Anyone can book a seat. Pricing is per-student, not per-team. Cohorts are mixed across customers.
What public sessions are
Open-enrollment training cohorts at the PhotoRobot training studio in Klecany, Czech Republic (a short drive from Prague). Each session covers one cert track end-to-end, on a fixed schedule, with a fixed per-student price. Cohorts mix students from different customers + free-agent operators.
Who they’re for
- Individual operators whose company runs a PhotoRobot studio but hasn’t enrolled them in training
- Free agents between roles who want to earn (or refresh) a credential
- New hires at customer studios where the company hasn’t budgeted a dedicated training engagement
- Studio managers at small studios where on-site delivery doesn’t pencil
- External instructors preparing for the future CI program (when it opens — earliest 2028)
Who they’re NOT for
- Whole-team customer onboarding — that’s better served by on-site at your studio delivery, where the instructor uses your equipment + your workflow as the reference
- Customers with active vouchers — your existing voucher gets you a seat in customer-specific delivery, typically more relevant to your situation
- People who haven’t decided which track is right — take the free placement test first
What’s covered
The same curriculum that’s delivered in customer engagements, with the same certification exams and credentials. No discount in content — public sessions and customer sessions teach the identical material.
Available tracks at Klecany
All six tracks rotate through the calendar, though some run more frequently than others:

How to reserve a seat
In Phase A (current — through Q4 2026), enrollment is manual:
- Email PhotoRobot sales with the track you want + preferred session dates from the schedule below
- Sales confirms availability and sends an invoice
- Once payment is processed, you receive an enrollment confirmation + pre-session reading materials (textbooks for your track)
- Arrive at Klecany on the scheduled date
In Phase B (v0.6+ — forthcoming infrastructure), self-service enrollment via the Academy site + Stripe + voucher generation will replace the manual flow. The content + pricing stay the same; the booking experience gets automated.

Practical info
Location
Klecany training studio, Klecany, Czech Republic. The studio is a fully-equipped PhotoRobot installation — multiple Control Units, turntables, cameras, lighting kits — used for both training and PhotoRobot R&D. You’ll work with real production equipment, not training mock-ups.
The studio is reachable:
- From Prague Airport (PRG): ~15 minutes by car / rideshare
- From Prague city center: ~25 minutes by car or 40 minutes by public transit (bus from Kobylisy metro stop)
- Parking available on-site
Accommodation
PhotoRobot does not provide accommodation. Students typically book a hotel in Prague proper (large city, abundant options across price tiers). For shorter commute, hotels in Prague’s northern districts (Holešovice, Letná) are convenient.
Meals
Lunch on training days is included. Other meals are at the student’s expense (Klecany has limited restaurants; most students return to Prague for dinner).
Languages
Public sessions are delivered in English. Czech-language sessions are available on request for cohorts of 3+ Czech-language preferences (contact sales). Other language requests are evaluated case-by-case based on instructor availability.
What to bring
- Laptop (Windows or Mac; PhotoRobot CAPP runs on either)
- Power adapter + EU plug adapter if traveling
- Notebook + pen (workbook exercises invite handwritten notes)
- Comfortable shoes (lots of standing during hands-on)
- For Hardware Specialist sessions: closed-toe shoes mandatory (safety per B02)
What we provide
- Pre-session reading (textbooks for your track, sent 2 weeks ahead of the session)
- Training equipment (Control Units, cameras, lighting kits) for all hands-on work
- Lunch + coffee on training days
- Wi-Fi at the studio
- Certificate PDF on passing the cert exam
After the session
Once you’ve passed the cert exam, you’re a PhotoRobot Certified <Track> for 2 years. Renew before expiry via the refresh exam (lighter format, can be taken online for most tracks).
You’re also eligible for:
- Speciality packages that build on your foundation (OCR, 3D modeling, Virtual Catwalk, Medical, Carpet — forthcoming)
- The Instructor Certification (CI) track if you want to deliver Academy training at your organization (currently internal-only; external program planned for ~2028)
- PhotoRobot Partner Network listing for certified Network + Hardware Specialists and Integrators
For your career-long credential, the cert is just the start. The practice is the rest.
Comparison — public sessions vs. customer engagements
For prospects deciding which format fits:
| Dimension | Public sessions at Klecany | Customer engagement (your studio or PhotoRobot-studio cohort) |
|---|---|---|
| Cohort | Mixed across customers | Your team only |
| Equipment | Klecany training studio gear | Your equipment (in your studio) or Klecany (your team) |
| Pricing | Per student | Per team / per engagement |
| Scheduling | Fixed dates on calendar | Negotiated with sales |
| Cohort size | 4-12 students typically | 2-12 students typically |
| Relevance | Generic curriculum + Q&A from mixed audience | Customized examples, your workflow, your shoots |
| Best for | Individual learners, free agents, new hires | Whole teams, installations, custom integrations |
| Voucher required | No (direct enrollment) | Yes (via customer purchase) |
If both formats feel like they could fit, default to customer engagement when the customer is paying for whole-team training (more relevant) and public session when only one or two individuals need a seat (cheaper per-head, no team-coordination overhead).
Frequently asked questions
Can I attend a public session if my employer already has a PhotoRobot installation?
Yes. There’s no restriction. Many students attend public sessions even when their employer has on-site engagement available — sometimes the schedule timing or the desire to network with other customers’ operators makes the public format more attractive.
Can I pay for myself and expense to my employer later?
Yes — PhotoRobot Sales can issue an invoice to your employer if you provide their billing details, or issue a personal invoice you can submit for expense reimbursement.
What happens if PhotoRobot cancels my session?
Full refund within 7 business days. Plus first-priority enrollment in the next available session for that track.
What if I fail the cert exam?
You receive a coaching session immediately (15-30 min with the instructor) covering the specific topics where you scored below threshold. You can re-take the exam at no additional cost within 60 days, either:
- Online at your own pace (most tracks)
- In person at Klecany on a future cohort’s exam day (no need to re-attend the full session)
Are sessions recorded?
No. PhotoRobot does not record public sessions. The training notes (instructor-only) cover what an instructor would say; the textbooks cover what students should read. Live delivery is for the discussion + the hands-on, neither of which records well.
Can a customer voucher be used for a public session seat?
Yes, if the customer’s voucher covers per-student seats (some vouchers are specifically for on-site customer engagements only — check with sales). Most general-purpose vouchers transfer to public sessions for the same dollar value.
What if my track isn’t on the upcoming schedule?
Email PhotoRobot Sales with your preferred track + flexibility window. If 3-4 other students also want the same track in similar dates, a session opens up. PhotoRobot Sales tracks demand and adds public sessions where minimum cohort viability is met.
Reserve your seat
Email PhotoRobot Sales with:
- Your name + employer (or “individual”)
- The track you want to take
- Preferred session dates from the schedule above
- Any language preference (English / Czech / other on request)

Sales confirms enrollment within 2 business days, sends invoice + pre-session materials, and you’re in.
